PTG Comments on OCC Clearing Fund Allocation Methodology Proposal

In a letter filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) today, PTG expressed support for the OCC’s proposed changes to its Clearing Fund allocation methodology.

PTG agreed with FIA’s letter saying that the shift towards a stress‑based approach makes contributions fairer and better aligned with actual risk. The proposal removes the open‑interest component, lengthens the lookback period, uses the same stress‑testing framework for sizing and allocation, and stabilizes weights during volatile periods. PTG urged the SEC to reaffirm approval.
